Automatic or Manual Parameter Definition

The intelligent BT Integra-Pack© will test any package in automatic mode, with no need to input test parameters. However, its sophisticated nature is combined with a manual mode that lets the user input parameters such as ramp rate control and back pressure drop sensitivity. This allows testing of special configurations or types of packages or perform specific research and data-gathering activities.

Icon-based, Touch-Driven Color Display

The touchscreen color display provides easy, clear navigation through the wide variety of data handling and review screens. Clearly defined icons make it easy to choose test modes, move from automatic to manual test settings, view test results in numeric and/or graphical format, and securely handle accumulated data.

 The TM Electronics TME Pressure Bubble Tester provides low pressure and controlled flow to a pouch to meet the requirements of ASTM International F-2096 test method “Standard Test Method for Detecting Gross Leaks in Packaging by Internal Pressurization Bubble Test”.

A low-pressure control range of 0 to 2 psig, with high flow capacity for porous material packages as well as non-porous pouches.

A simple system of loading pouches, lowering and holding the pouch one (1”) inch under water to observe bubbles from a 250-micron hole as required by the ASTM test method is provided.  Stable pressures with high flow capacity is designed to be delivered from a precision pressure regulator.

This highly sensitive method uses a proprietary chamber design to find leaks in walls or seals of common bottle sizes widely used in industry today, including those with various shapes and neck or screw sizes. Customized test chambers accommodate your particular process needs, bottle sizes and shapes to detect holes as small as 5 microns. Interchangeable fixture heads enable you to test a variety of bottle sizes and shapes with one test system.

Use with the TME BT-1000 Automated Package Tester or TME BT Integra Pack to test completely sealed flexible material packages. The assembly includes the Closed Package Test Probe and Stand, Package-Ports© and Adhesive Disks.

By using the patented Package-Ports© system of a port and adhesive disk along with the penetrating test probe, a leak-tight path is created to connect the package internal volume directly to the test instrument. The variable height clamp stand can be used to penetrate packages with the probe down or up to accommodate most package sizes.

The TME Solution-C-BC Blister Card Test System produces quantitative results in non-destructive, pressure or vacuum decay leak testing of blister cards. Use the TS-01-EXP with the TME BT-1000 Automated Package Tester  or TME BT Integra Packto test flexible porous peelable pouches sealed on three sides. The TS-01-EXP can be used for non-porous welded pouches up to 30 psi. The 12-inch open package fixture provides a pneumatically driven clamp that will seal the open end of a flexible package during the inflation testing for package seal strength in accordance with ASTM F-1140.

Use with the TME BT Integra Pack for:

 Leak Testing: Restraining stabilizes expansion during pressurization. Semi-porous surfaces are available to test without blocking any holes in the surface material.

Seal Strength Testing: Restraining plate fixtures provide consistent stress loading on all seals of open-ended or closed packages

Restraining plates limit the tested internal volume of the package, can increase the sensitivity of the test.

• Restraint equalizes the stress on package seals being tested and controls stretching expansion when pressurized
• Restraining plates can be used with the TME TS-01/04 Open Package Fixtures to test open-ended packages
• Closed packages can be restrained and tested with the TME Package-Port package entry system
• Restraining gap adjusts from 1/4 to one inch to accommodate most package sizes. Other gap sizes are available on a custom basis.

Seal Strength and Leak Integrity Testing

Use with the TME BT-1000 Automated Package Tester or TME BT Integra Pack to test completely sealed flexible material packages. By using the patented Package-Ports© system consisting of a port and adhesive disk along with the penetrating test probe, a leak-tight path is created to connect the package internal volume directly to the test instrument. The package testing probe is sealed inside the port as it is inserted, allowing the probe to maintain a leak tight path with the package and the instrument.

• The TS-03 Test Probe is available in the standard pointed tip or a flat tip for use with small packages such as transdermal packs.
• The TS-03 test probe can be used in conjunction with a Restraining Plate Fixture to provide closed package tests that conform to ASTM test methods.
